The Challenge – On the onset of the SEO project, we noticed that the site wasn’t structurally fit for effective optimization. After the critical analysis of the website structure we came up with the conclusion that the site required to be re-structured, which wasn’t 100% possible. That was probably the biggest challenge we faced while starting off with SEO for the official website of the law firm. The site was allowed to be re-structured, although to a very limited extent, which helped us, but not to the extent we desired.  Another big challenge faced was that their site had   lots of errors and incorrect HTML, which prevents the growth of any website on the major search engines – especially Google. The textual content of the website wasn’t appropriate also! To put things in simple and crispy language, no work had ever been done for the official website of Jus Novum to get good Search Engine rankings.

Plan of Action- For all local and foreign SEO clients, we start with a pre analysis, where we learn from the client – details of their company, their services and offerings and their competitors. Jus Novum’s case was no exception. We had run a pre-analysis report, showing the site’s current state, the current traffic, link popularity, how many pages of the site were indexed etc, alongside the competition analysis, keyword analysis etc. After getting the approval of our keyword suggestion for the site we started working on 6 primary keywords.

Implementation and Work flow -

• With the onset of the work we took a backup of all the existing pages, and started making changes for the site’s structure, according to the chalked out SEO plan.
• The content developer at Websys worked on developing entirely fresh content for the site. The most unique thing in here is that the concerned person at Jus Novum had lent us much of her precious time to help us developing the content, and explaining us the legal technicalities involved thereby. • On-page was done quite effectively, keeping in mind prevailing algorithmic trend. This took us quite good volume of time to complete the entire on-page task for the website.
• The ranking couldn’t be achieved with just well optimized content and putting effective meta attributes. The strategic plan formulated for the site’s SEO at our internal meeting was found highly effective, while on the move.
• A round of manual link building helped us also gain relevance. Believe me… not much submissions were required. Just a set of strategic link generation plan is the secret of our success story!

The picnic spot was amidst a beautiful village thriving with natural beauties. It was “all play and no work” day for all of us. We organized games and enjoyed chatting with our fellow picnickers. However, once they overcame the fear, all wanted to paddle more and more and we spent a large amount of time on boating. We took some rest on the shades and had our tea break. One of the best enjoyments came till the last hour on the picnic day. The amusement park which was just beside had a place called Iceland. When we entered, all we could see was a dark room with lots of shadows of people and some dim lights. Once we were all in, the disco lights came on and we could see that we were standing on a dance floor. And then without any warning we were in the middle of a snow blizzard. Ice cold snows were being hurled towards our faces and the dance music started. Can you believe it – everyone got in the groove and started dancing even while in the middle of a snow storm of sorts, forgetting the risk of the slippery floor.

By the time we came out, the evening sun had already dawned. Packing all the memories of the trip, we boarded our bus in the evening to come back home. We were dead tired, but not short of energy. Thankfully, the next day was a Sunday. We could take some much needed rest to get back afresh on Monday.

Next Monday was a rejuvenated day for all of us. All of us were back with new energy although the picnic hangover was with us all. Anyway, picnic is behind us and we are working full-fledged, have had completed some of our projects, while working on some important ones presently. Every other day a new project is reaching us with its unique needs and web strategies. Goddess Durga is one of the main deities amongst Bengalis, who symbolises a Female power who freed the earth and heaven from evil, mythologically. We celebrate her coming to earth and her stay for 5 days with us mortals – starting with MahaShashti, and bid her farewell on the Bijoya Dashami . On this auspicious day she leaves for heaven.

Beyond mythology , this time is also celebrated as one of the biggest social events. People from all parts of the country and abroad as well , come back home to celebrate this joyous occasions. Roads and localities light up in full brightness, colorful pandals and gorgeous deities. People get out in the streets to enjoy and watch all these , meet up with their friends and relatives and sit down in adda.

Our old website or should i say the current one ( as of today ), has provided to be a great tool in advertising our abilities , displaying our portfolio and also attaining top positions in the search engines such as Google and Yahoo or Bing. However , these are the following points we ascertained which needed changed or worked upon.

• The website did not have any white area – while colored backgrounds are nice, many people associate websites which sell packages or services with the white color or are accustomed to it. It also helps in displaying text easily.

The main picnicing area we went to had no power source  , hence no music – can’t be having that . So all of us put in our best efforts in gather a power source from the nearest point , connecting multiple wires to play the music system. We had a brief food session followed by good number of picnic games, roaming around the gardens and also taking a short car trip to the Ganges bank , which was nearby .

Although we could have taken ingredients for cooking and have a full session, we had planned for lunch in a nearby restaurant ( very good quality good ).

While coming back , it was pretty dark but our spirits were still high and most of us joined in Antakshari.
